Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority and hands-on lead developer for complex modules, core frameworks, distributed microservices, and scalable reporting pipelines.
- Design and implement RESTful microservices, event-driven messaging, batch processing frameworks, database integrations, and modern web interfaces.
- Establish standards for coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, CI/CD automation, code reviews, quality gates, and technical-debt reduction.
- Lead performance engineering, query optimization, caching, memory management, high availability, replication, and data integrity across application and database tiers.
- Lead a globally distributed agile scrum team through sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, capacity planning, execution, and release delivery.
- Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and user stories while managing delivery risks, impediments, sprint metrics, and velocity.
- Provide Level 3 production support, monitoring, logging, tracing, and root-cause analysis for high-impact incidents.
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers and QA engineers and promote engineering excellence.
- Ensure compliance with secure SDLC requirements, vulnerability remediation, access controls, audit readiness, and applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of professional experience in software engineering and application development.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Core Java, including multithreading, concurrency, memory optimization, and JVM tuning.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Integration, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, SQL/PL-SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes, Git workflows, automated testing, TDD, BDD, and code quality standards.
- Experience with financial services, banking, capital markets, securities services, or reporting and analytics is desirable.
- Familiarity with SWIFT ISO 15022/20022 and FIX messaging standards is desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-influence, resilience, accountability, and prioritization skills.
