Base Salary
$250k - $365k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build high-throughput backend applications and services, including streaming chat between users and agents.
- Design a conflict-free, real-time collaborative Multiplayer Computer for humans and AI agents to share shells, filesystems, and state.
- Develop frontend and backend infrastructure that enables product engineers to ship user experiences rapidly.
- Design and build durable interfaces between the Agent and internal systems as well as external agentic systems using MCP.
- Lead end-to-end engineering efforts across product and infrastructure with meaningful impact.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience building backend services, systems, and platforms.
- Experience across the full stack is preferred.
- Experience building AI-powered tooling or products is preferred.
- Experience with collaborative editing technologies such as Operational Transforms, CRDTs, or Git internals is preferred.
- Experience with event sourcing systems is preferred.
- Ability to solve complex operational challenges systematically and build automated, self-healing systems.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively and communicating complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
