Responsibilities
- Develop design-system software for analytical systems covering aerodynamics, structures, dynamics, and performance.
- Create productivity-focused solutions using optimization technologies and multiphysics analysis.
- Collaborate with software project teams on execution planning, code reviews, test plans, and requirements compliance.
- Plan and execute numerical solution and digital solution projects from design through completion.
- Improve engineering processes, productivity, and deliverable quality.
- Develop or modernize analytical software tools using DevOps, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary design optimization projects.
- Provide user support and training for analytical software tools and high-performance computing environments.
- Participate in project planning, requirements analysis, design, and peer reviews.
- Build cloud-based infrastructure-as-code solutions on AWS.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or aerospace engineering with at least 8 years of experience, or 5+ years of experience with a master’s degree.
- Proficiency in Python; experience with C, Fortran, or Rust is preferred.
- Knowledge of automated testing methodologies and tools such as pytest.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Practical knowledge of Agile project management and software development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, prioritization, and business-oriented communication skills.
- Very good English proficiency for technical documentation and communication with international customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Experience in data analysis and machine learning is an asset.
- Ability to obtain required clearances for handling and transferring controlled goods and pass a criminal background check.
