- Design reusable code, debug and root-cause issues, and validate firmware architectures and implementations.
- Create firmware algorithms and mechanisms for FTL and mapping strategies, garbage collection, workload optimization, QoS, and data placement.
- Perform unit and integration testing, collaborate with architects and IP leads, and define firmware scope and implementation details.
- Create evaluation metrics, collect and analyze data, assess technical tradeoffs, and recommend firmware architecture and implementation approaches.
- Support system-level modeling, systems integration, algorithm modeling, benchmarking, digital signal processing, customer requirements definition, project planning, and risk management as needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software or firmware development, integration, and validation experience in embedded systems.
- Programming experience in C/C++ and embedded firmware development with a real-time operating system and hardware-software interactions.
- Experience with firmware development tools including compilers, debuggers, emulators, and toolchains.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with Python, Linux scripting, enterprise fabric and storage interface protocols, and Git-based source control and code review.
- Preferred experience developing unit tests, assessing customer requirements, planning projects, estimating work, managing risks, and communicating technical concepts.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically, investigate unfamiliar technical areas, manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
Benefits
- Eligibility to participate in restricted stock unit, restricted cash unit, and cash bonus programs.
