Responsibilities
- Create and implement principled algorithmic improvements to driving behavior in the codebase.
- Use backend tooling to test changes across diverse driving situations.
- Lead on-vehicle drive reviews and turn driving-performance feedback into improvements.
- Attend conferences and survey literature on robotics and motion planning.
- Write and file patents for novel technologies developed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 8+ years of experience.
- Fluency in C++.
- Understanding of configuration spaces and planning techniques including A*, RRTs, and PRMs.
- Demonstrated ability to create real-time motion-planning algorithms.
- Significant contributions to geometric- or sampling-based planning algorithms are a bonus qualification.
- Experience with autonomous robots and machine learning or data-driven development processes is a bonus qualification.
- Experience with ROS, pose estimation, SLAM, probabilistic filtering, 3D data, or CUDA is a bonus qualification.
