Base Salary

$165k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the technical direction and implementation of human-machine and machine-machine teaming capabilities for autonomous airborne systems.
  • Design, develop, and deploy teaming capabilities that improve the performance, safety, and resilience of human-machine teams.
  • Propose, design, and conduct applied research and human-subject experiments in realistic operational settings.
  • Support simulation, system integration, and flight-test activities for autonomy software.
  • Write, test, document, and review code according to development standards.
  • Collaborate across the organization on systems addressing aviation and autonomy challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related subject.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including graduate work, developing software for airborne autonomous systems.
  • Deep experience in human-machine interaction, autonomy and decision-making algorithms, physiological signal monitoring, or human cognitive-state analysis.
  • Experience with modern software development workflows, version control, pipelines, unit testing, peer review, and system- and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Linux and open-source development tools.
  • Proficiency writing Python code.
  • Experience with technical writing and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred experience with C++, ROS, human-machine teaming experiments, perception, sensor fusion, world modeling, Bayesian methods, simulation, hardware/software integration, debugging, or flight testing.
  • A pilot license and flight experience are a plus.
