Base Salary

$166k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver software-enabled solutions for autonomous maritime products and customer deployments.
  • Design, implement, operate, and evolve scalable software across on-vehicle and off-vehicle systems.
  • Develop autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, command-and-control, and decision-support software.
  • Create hardware- and software-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures and support full lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing, deployment, and sustainment activities.
  • Act as a technical owner for software services, including requirements, roadmaps, stakeholder coordination, implementation, and evolution.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor software engineers.
  • Travel to co-locate with end users or other teams up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience as a software engineer with expertise in one or more domains or technologies.
  • Systems or application programming experience covering algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
  • Ability to work across the software stack and through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
  • Ability to own software services and manage requirements, roadmaps, stakeholder engagement, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and build team cohesion.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred: experience delivering military mission systems, writing backend or embedded software, developing frontend applications, operating horizontally scaled cloud technologies, supporting robotic embedded software, modeling and simulation, high-assurance safety-critical software, and product delivery through manufacturing and deployment.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts and interest in progressing toward senior, staff, or tech-lead-manager roles.
