Base Salary
$149k - $238k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering architecture design reviews and key initiatives within Connected Devices.
- Set a high technical bar through code and architecture reviews.
- Build stable, low-latency software for mission-critical body-worn camera products.
- Mentor engineers, including Senior Engineers, and help raise the team’s technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to create integrated customer solutions.
- Improve engineering processes, including long-term planning, sprint planning, and stand-ups.
- Make architecture and system design decisions using modern open source technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience in C++, Go, Rust, and/or another systems programming language.
- 10+ years of experience writing unit, integration, and/or system-level tests.
- 5+ years of experience mentoring junior team members and/or leading small teams.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, runtime analysis, object-oriented design, and code quality verification.
- Experience with Embedded Linux development and/or RTOS.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and make architecture decisions for highly stable, low-latency systems.
