Responsibilities
- Build and improve internal developer tools, workflows, automation, and platform capabilities.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, local and test environments, and the path from code development to production.
- Create reusable service templates, self-service workflows, and paved roads for product engineering teams.
- Improve observability, incident response, SLIs/SLOs, and production debugging tools.
- Contribute to AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform infrastructure, including scalability, security, cost efficiency, and multi-region readiness.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in developer tooling, internal platforms, infrastructure, or related platform engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on Developer Experience team experience building internal tooling, platforms, and workflows for software engineers.
- Strong software engineering skills and experience building tools, services, automation, or platforms used by other engineers.
- Deep experience with CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform.
- Track record of turning developer pain points into pragmatic tooling, automation, and self-service platform capabilities.
- Understanding of production reliability, observability, and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, hands-on mindset.
- Preferred: consumer-facing industry experience, Internal Developer Platform or developer portal experience, and familiarity with security and compliance requirements such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS.
