Responsibilities
- Operate and evolve the Kubernetes and CNCF-aligned platform, including cluster lifecycle, workload primitives, autoscaling, and developer golden paths.
- Own cloud operations across Azure, AWS, and GCP, including networking, IAM, secrets, capacity, and cost.
- Maintain and expand independent processing regions, data residency capabilities, per-region operations, and customer-selectable regions.
- Develop infrastructure as code with Pulumi, including modules, guardrails, and review patterns.
- Improve reliability, performance, and cost through SLOs, observability, autoscaling, capacity planning, on-call, and incident response.
- Partner with SRE and Foundations teams across regions while anchoring platform discipline in New York City.
Requirements
- Years of backend engineering experience with solid infrastructure, observability, and monitoring knowledge.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Pulumi is preferred, with AWS CDK or Terraform as similar infrastructure-as-code alternatives.
- Ability to proactively and independently solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment with limited processes.
