Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and extend AWS infrastructure supporting production applications and services.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes environments and create and upgrade Helm charts.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Use Terraform and Ansible to create consistent and repeatable infrastructure environments.
- Improve monitoring and logging and help teams identify and resolve performance issues.
- Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Bash and Python.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, database, and production issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve development and deployment processes.
- Help design scalable architecture for large customer environments.
- Support incident management, root-cause analysis, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience and excellent Linux administration knowledge.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines; GitLab CI/CD experience is particularly useful.
- Strong Bash and/or Python scripting skills.
- Understanding of cloud networking, routing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with NGINX, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Strong production troubleshooting and technical communication skills.
- Bonus: Helm and Kubernetes deployments at scale, logging and monitoring platforms, SQL and NoSQL databases, DevSecOps, cloud cost optimization, performance engineering, PaaS or enterprise customer infrastructure, and financial services or capital markets experience.
- Must have US work authorization; the employer cannot offer visa sponsorship.
- Must be New York-based or commutable and willing to work up to five days per week in the office.
