Responsibilities
- Create and configure production and non-production cloud environments using platform tools.
- Automate environment creation, configuration, and deployment pipelines.
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable Go backend services and APIs.
- Build and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs for OTT and digital media capabilities.
- Integrate applications with AWS cloud and media services.
- Define API contracts, data models, concurrency models, caching strategies, and resiliency patterns.
- Lead feature delivery from design through deployment and production stabilization.
- Develop unit, integration, and regression test suites and participate in code reviews and release activities.
- Analyze production incidents, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot performance issues, and support rollback and operational readiness.
- Provide estimates, technical guidance, risk assessments, mentoring, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Participate in on-call and production support activities.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of relevant experience in Go and AWS cloud development; the posting also states a minimum of 7.5 years and a total experience requirement of 18 years under a 9+9 model.
- Strong Go programming experience, including interfaces, structures, slices, maps, goroutines, channels, context propagation, error handling, and Go modules.
- Experience building RESTful and gRPC APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Fargate, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, Amazon EventBridge, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS IAM.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Go testing, mocking, benchmarking, profiling, and race detection.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, infrastructure as code, Blue-Green deployments, and Canary deployments.
- Experience leading production incident management, technical reviews, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Preferred experience in OTT, streaming, broadcast, digital media, HLS, DASH, DRM, CDN, SSAI, video-on-demand, AWS Elemental services, CloudFront, Kafka, Step Functions, Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Redis, ElastiCache, Grafana, Datadog, Elastic Stack, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, ServiceNow, and Jira Service Management.
- AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of full-time education is required.
