Base Salary
$82k - $206k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements, propose solutions, and explore design trades to support system designs.
- Design navigation, tracking, autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques.
- Develop, integrate, and deploy embedded software based on prototype algorithms for underwater, ground, air, and space systems.
- Analyze designs to demonstrate performance and functionality and investigate causes of inefficient or problematic results.
- Develop and execute software tests to verify compliance with requirements.
- Prepare technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required documentation.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders to establish requirements and describe designs and deliverables.
- Track project priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
- 5–10 years of software engineering or related experience is required.
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C/C++ are required.
- Knowledge of autonomy and GNC algorithms, real-time software development tools, and real-time algorithm and software validation is required.
- Familiarity with trajectory optimization, optimal control, control-system design and analysis, and trajectory design or optimization algorithms is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project execution, and teamwork skills are required.
- A master’s degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
