Responsibilities
- Plan and manage test activities, schedules, resources, quality expectations, and risk analysis for features and projects.
- Develop manual and automated test strategies, test cases, procedures, process documentation, and specifications.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain test platforms for complex new and existing software products.
- Provide functional and non-functional software quality solutions across modules, subsystems, and integrated systems.
- Analyze technical issues, identify risks, recommend solutions, and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Collaborate with product management, architecture, development, product, and testing teams on comprehensive testing approaches.
- Lead testing efforts from concept through release and ensure testing activities are documented throughout the software life cycle.
- Mentor less experienced engineers, review their deliverables, provide training, and reinforce software design and testing best practices.
- Improve test processes and practices and identify and address process gaps.
- Ensure quality assurance activities comply with the applicable Quality Management System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least four years of software testing experience.
- Demonstrated experience with both manual and automated software testing.
- Strong proficiency in test methodologies, tools, techniques, test strategy, test-case development, software risk analysis, and software development practices.
- Knowledge of medical-device and software-development standards including 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 62304.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex product-development initiatives from concept through release.
- Experience developing and leading strategies, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, identifying process gaps, and implementing improvements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of Python is preferred.
