Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software and firmware products.
- Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing with hardware-in-the-loop.
- Identify, document, and track software and firmware defects.
- Collaborate with developers to debug issues and verify fixes.
- Improve testing methodologies and create validation plans with clear pass/fail criteria, industry-standard adherence, and traceability from design requirements to test procedures.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software quality assurance experience.
- Experience testing in Linux and Windows environments and understanding core networking principles and basic IP networking protocols.
- Proficiency with network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience with Git and platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket, plus bug tracking systems such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, documentation, adaptability, and learning skills.
- Currently possesses and can maintain an active Secret security clearance at a minimum.
- Preferred: basic proficiency in Python or other coding languages, familiarity with Pytest, and experience with Playwright or Selenium.
- Preferred: experience validating designs for harsh or deployed environments, including ruggedized, airborne, or space systems.
