Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal software for top-level chip floorplanning, RTL module placement, and datapath pipeline routing.
- Add features to internal tools, including web application GUI functionality, design-collateral parsers, and high-level APIs.
- Develop CAD design-flow infrastructure for regression automation and standalone design-test-case extraction.
- Support the Physical Aware Tiling tool through ticket resolution and code fixes for dysfunctional corner cases.
- Participate in software projects spanning floorplanning, synthesis, place and route, and signoff timing analysis.
- Collaborate with chip designers, CAD project leads, software leads, and VLSI domain experts on project and software specifications.
- Apply Qualcomm software development practices including linting, documentation, unit testing, and GitLab merge requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of software development experience in Python, JavaScript, or C++, with Python preferred.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with software development platforms such as Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Experience with CAD development and VLSI design flows is relevant to the role.
