Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal software products for chip floorplanning, RTL module placement, and datapath pipeline routing.
- Build features for internal tools, including webapp GUI components, design collateral parsers, and high-level APIs.
- Develop CAD design-flow infrastructure for regression automation and standalone testcase extraction.
- Maintain and enhance the Physical Aware Tiling tool and provide code-based support for Snapdragon design teams.
- Participate in VLSI software projects covering floorplanning, synthesis, place and route, and signoff timing analysis.
- Contribute to project specifications, software specifications, UML architecture diagrams, documentation, linting, unit tests, and GitLab merge requests.
- Collaborate with Snapdragon designers, CAD project leads, software leads, global CAD developers, and VLSI domain experts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred 1-4 years of software development experience using Python, JavaScript, or C++, with Python preferred.
- Experience with software development platforms such as Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
- Experience developing CAD tools, design-flow infrastructure, or VLSI-related software is relevant to the role.
