Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory and risk-management needs.
- Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using full-stack programming, databases, messaging, containers, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams, establish design and development standards, and promote operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvements, reduce technical debt, refactor systems, and optimize performance in distributed environments.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, evaluate emerging tools, and influence long-term technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with more than two listed programming technologies, database experience, cloud experience, open-source framework contributions, API development, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code experience, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, mentoring, observability, cross-functional technical leadership, coding standards, design patterns, and Spec-Driven Development.
- Experience with interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion is preferred.
