Responsibilities
- Support product refinement by creating tickets, analyzing development work, and independently handling complex tickets.
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and enhance complex software systems and web applications.
- Implement proofs of concept and prototypes while assessing solution risks and incorporating feedback.
- Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, source control, coding standards, and improved test coverage.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams on launch, release, go-live, and customer adoption activities.
- Maintain system hygiene and produce high-quality code to prevent future issues.
- Use AI tools and techniques for code generation, testing, debugging, optimization, pattern identification, and automation.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to improve product functionality and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 2+ years of experience/proficiency, or a combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of software design principles, development tools, technologies, and relevant domains.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and experience with web application development.
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing.
- Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Ability to collaborate professionally and respectfully with others.
- Preferred experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Preferred experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Knockout.
- Preferred experience with Agile software development.
