Base Salary
$67k - $137k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop server-side services, APIs, and data integrations for financial services clients.
- Translate requirements into secure services and integrate new interfaces with existing systems.
- Own assigned workstreams independently from design through production support, including production triage.
- Build and support microservices, RESTful and SOAP web services, and enterprise applications.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms, containers, and cloud deployments.
- Apply code quality, security, testing, and automation standards.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, testing, and operations teams.
- Mentor less-experienced team members where appropriate.
- Travel up to 30% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience developing server-side applications and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with microservices architectures, API design, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and web services.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Working knowledge of data access frameworks such as JPA or Hibernate, including query performance tuning.
- Working knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, JMS, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure and cloud development.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines, JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience with production triage and enterprise application delivery.
- Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes the listed Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, database, messaging, cloud, testing, and enterprise delivery technologies.
