Principal/ Sr Principal Backend Engineer

Responsibilities
- Architect and build core backend infrastructure for Endor Labs’ SaaS products.
- Lead and contribute to large-scale technical projects focused on scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Design, architect, and build features end to end in collaboration with Product Management and distributed engineering teams.
- Drive innovation, make critical architectural decisions, and lead implementation of new technologies.
- Mentor and coach team members while promoting engineering best practices.
- Participate in external technical forums, conferences, and open-source communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 18 years of experience building scalable backends for product or SaaS companies.
- Strong proficiency in Golang is preferred, with experience in other modern backend languages, distributed architecture, and frameworks considered a plus.
- Practical experience designing APIs with technologies such as gRPC, ReST, GraphQL, or Thrift.
- Experience with microservices, domain-driven design, load balancing, horizontal and vertical scaling, and stateless architectures.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, scalable architecture, architectural tradeoffs, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and resolving root causes.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, leadership, and independent decision-making skills.
