Responsibilities
- Build software platforms and tooling for large-scale quantitative research and portfolio production.
- Write and maintain production-quality Python code on Linux.
- Design and develop large-scale distributed systems and high-performance applications.
- Apply data structures, algorithms, concurrency patterns, and Linux system programming fundamentals.
- Collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers on firmwide technology.
- Potentially work with graph computation, streaming, dataflow, machine learning, deep learning, and backtesting platform technologies.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience writing production-quality Python code on Linux.
- Strong understanding and experience with Linux system programming fundamentals.
- Ability to develop large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, high-performance application design, and concurrency patterns.
- Willingness to learn C++; prior C++ experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong interest in machine learning, deep learning, and backtesting platform design and development; prior experience is a plus.
- Experience with large-scale graph computation or streaming/dataflow systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and proficiency in English.
- Prior financial services experience is not required.
