Responsibilities
- Build and productionize backend, big data, and ML/AI solutions supporting compliant global growth.
- Own projects through the full lifecycle from ideation to production.
- Develop GenAI-powered applications that support Adyen functions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on solutions affecting multiple parts of the organization.
- Help shape and drive the team’s product and technical roadmap with product and engineering leadership.
- Coach other engineers and communicate complex technical concepts to varied stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Professional experience working as a software engineer, preferably in cross-functional product teams within a larger organization.
- Proficiency in Java and demonstrated experience building Java-based web services using RESTful and SOAP approaches.
- Ability to design performant database models in PostgreSQL or another relational database.
- Knowledge of software architecture paradigms including event-driven and message-queueing systems.
- Ability to design and productionize solutions across backend and big data.
- Strong understanding of industry-standard engineering practices.
- Ability to coach engineers, drive a team roadmap, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
