Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for satellite and ground systems supporting operation, validation, and management of 3GPP 5G networking stacks.
- Design, implement, deploy, and operate 5G NTN and Open RAN networking and management functions for satellite payloads.
- Develop embedded software modules and test frameworks using assembly, C, C++, Rust, or other languages.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and code/test coverage across the software development life cycle.
- Troubleshoot embedded software and analyze schematics, logic analyzer output, wireless signals, and protocols.
- Collaborate with software, test and validation, reliability, RF hardware, and custom silicon development teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems and embedded software.
- Experience with real-time embedded software development and robust design practices.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science.
- Preferred: experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipeline implementation, wireless system design and architecture, system integration, RF system analysis, low-level drivers, computer architecture, and PHY/MAC-layer hardware/software targeting SoCs, FPGAs, and general-purpose processors.
- Candidates must meet the stated U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

- The listed base salary range is $143,700.00-$194,400.00 annually for Austin, Texas, and Redmond, Washington.
