Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction for the squad, translating product goals into a clear engineering strategy.
- Lead design and architecture reviews for major components, ensuring high standards of stability and performance.
- Write well-tested, maintainable code and conduct technical design and code reviews.
- Mentor and coach middle and senior engineers to develop future technical leaders.
- Drive AI-assisted development practices and establish quality gates and review protocols.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Identify and integrate open source technologies to enhance product capabilities.
- Improve engineering processes, including long-term planning and operational readiness.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience in C/C++, Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Strong experience in developing and debugging embedded software on Linux-based or RTOS-based devices.
- Proven track record of building well-tested software, including unit and integration testing.
- 5+ years of experience mentoring junior team members or leading small teams.
- Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
- Networking knowledge such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and DHCP is a plus.
