Responsibilities
- Define and enforce production-readiness standards, exit criteria, evaluation sets, graders, and regression suites for AI applications.
- Own architecture patterns and build reference implementations and deployment templates across Databricks and AWS.
- Develop prototypes, tool and system integrations, and production-grade services using AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, Databricks Agent Bricks, and Unity Catalog.
- Diagnose implementation failures, regressions, latency, and token costs across model versions, prompts, retrieval indexes, and tool schemas.
- Lead design and readiness reviews and ensure each production application has an operator, patch path, and rollback plan.
- Partner with business, platform, data, security, and SRE teams to resolve technical blockers and guide production decisions.
- Provide cross-functional technical leadership through influence and serve as the technical counterpart for business application owners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Data & AI application development in a Python, IaC, and CI/CD production environment.
- 8+ years of modern data-stack experience with technologies such as Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, GCP, or comparable platforms.
- 6+ years of professional experience building LLM applications in a major cloud AI-native stack.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with business teams, translate platform constraints into actionable decisions, and carry direction across partner functions.
- Willingness to report to the Toronto office 50% of the time.
