Base Salary
$144k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable C++ flight software for spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules throughout the mission.
- Write structured bare-metal, RTOS, or Linux-based software for embedded processors.
- Own software design, development, testing, verification, validation, and integration.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Support system quality and performance through software testing and V&V techniques.
- Collaborate, communicate, and solve problems as part of a team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 3 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Strong C++ development experience and understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred: end-to-end experience building and launching a spacecraft.
- Preferred: experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems and safety-critical aerospace software.
- Preferred: experience with CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems and the F' or cFS framework.
- Preferred: experience with Python or Rust, basic analog and digital electronics, and SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT.
