Base Salary
$144k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable firmware controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
- Own software development activities including design, testing, and integration.
- Scope projects through requirements capture and initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Develop structured bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based C++ software for embedded processors.
- Build highly reliable and available software systems.
- Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation techniques.
- Support flight operations for deployed software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 3 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
- Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of language concepts.
- Preferred experience with safety-critical software, particularly aerospace applications.
- Preferred experience with Python or Rust.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
