Base Salary
$177k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy offline 3D reconstruction, lane-line detection, and automatic mapping modules on cloud services using logged sensor data.
- Build and refine lane-line annotation pipelines using machine learning models to automate and scale map creation.
- Develop pose estimation algorithms for localization, sensor fusion, and 3D scene reconstruction.
- Develop offline perception and mapping models and algorithms using disciplined software development, version control, and documentation practices.
- Define ingestion, data preparation, curation, and governance for large datasets supporting analytics models and workflows.
- Measure auto-labeling and map-creation quality against internal customer requirements.
- Develop analytics and machine learning deployment guidelines and standards.
- Evaluate technical improvements to productivity and quality and provide technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and project leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field plus typically 6+ years of experience, or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus typically 3+ years of experience.
- Experience creating lane-line annotations or automatic maps and familiarity with current lane-line detection and creation machine learning models.
- Familiarity with pose estimation and active learning, pseudo-labeling, computer vision, deep learning, and model training.
- Experience in at least two of 2D/3D object detection, tracking, sensor fusion, semantic segmentation, SLAM, and BEV.
- Experience with scaled MLOps and tooling, including ML frameworks, experiment tracking, model registries, MLflow, Weights & Biases, and ML metrics and evaluation.
- Experience with distributed machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Lightning, or Ray.
- Experience with Parquet data processing using tools such as PyArrow, Daft, or Pandas.
- Proficiency in Python software development and familiarity with VDI, cloud-based development environments, CI systems such as GitHub Actions, and Docker.
- PPK/RTK GPS experience and GIS experience are bonus qualifications.
- Ability to work independently on complex work, own technical solutions, drive alignment, and mentor engineers.
