Base Salary
$208k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software for high-bandwidth robot data logging, telemetry offload, large-scale data transmission, and high-performance networking.
- Build reliable, scalable, customer-focused, cloud-based pipelines for large-scale simulation and analysis.
- Collaborate with ML researchers, simulation engineers, customer teams, operational teams, and network operations.
- Transform complex design challenges into working simulation systems for smarter and safer robots.
- Support production deployment and work at Zoox headquarters, depots, and occasionally in vehicles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering and systems design.
- Fluency in Python and/or C++.
- Comfort with ML concepts and hands-on experience integrating ML models into production code.
- Experience working directly with customers to deploy solutions, gather feedback, and iterate on the product.
- Strong communication, cross-team collaboration, independent problem-solving, organization, and inventive thinking.
- Bonus: experience processing large-scale 3D, image, or multimedia data.
- Bonus: experience with distributed systems and cloud computing platforms.
