Base Salary
$180k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build production backend services using TypeScript, Python, and Go.
- Design and implement scalable APIs and distributed services.
- Develop data processing and asynchronous workflows.
- Design robust service architectures and integrations.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Collaborate closely with Product and other engineering teams.
- Take features from initial concept through production across frontend and backend systems.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Experience building production APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of databases and data modeling.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
- Strong testing and software engineering practices.
- Experience with YC-backed or venture-backed startups is sought.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.
- Fluent English is required.
- Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, microservices, high-volume transactional systems, AI/ML infrastructure, and startup or scale-up experience are nice to have.
