Base Salary

$180k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

Build production backend services using TypeScript, Python, and Go.
Design and implement scalable APIs and distributed services.
Develop data processing and asynchronous workflows.
Design robust service architectures and integrations.
Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability.
Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code.
Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
Collaborate closely with Product and other engineering teams.
Take features from initial concept through production across frontend and backend systems.

At least 4 years of backend software engineering experience.
Strong experience with TypeScript, Python, or Go.
Experience building production APIs and backend services.
Strong understanding of databases and data modeling.
Familiarity with distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
Strong testing and software engineering practices.
Experience with YC-backed or venture-backed startups is sought.
Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco.
Fluent English is required.
Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, microservices, high-volume transactional systems, AI/ML infrastructure, and startup or scale-up experience are nice to have.
