Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for inventory availability, order promising, sourcing, and fulfilment capabilities.
- Build automated and high-concurrency tests for inventory reservation, allocation, and oversell-prevention mechanisms.
- Identify, document, investigate, and track defects; verify fixes and maintain regression coverage.
- Validate fulfilment optimization, routing, cache invalidation, and inventory-changing event behavior.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to quality gates and release-readiness evidence.
- Build and maintain API, integration, contract, and regression test suites for commerce-system integrations.
- Apply risk-based testing and collaborate with product owners, lead engineers, software engineers, and engineering managers.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, or software quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated tests for APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with Java and automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured, Selenium, or Playwright.
- Experience with API, integration, contract, and regression testing.
- Understanding of inventory concepts including availability, reservations, allocation, ATP, or ATS.
- Understanding of concurrency and data-consistency risks in transactional or high-volume systems.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contributing to quality gates.
- Experience with test-data management, defect investigation, and failure analysis.
- Understanding of reliability, scalability, resilience, and performance testing for distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation, intelligent regression testing, or AI-native quality engineering practices.
- Experience with cross-browser or cross-device testing tools such as BrowserStack is advantageous.
- Experience with commerce, order management, inventory, supply-chain, order promising, sourcing, or fulfilment workflows is advantageous.
