Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance runtime security features for a Windows-based endpoint agent.
- Design and implement systems-level endpoint security and monitoring capabilities using Go, C, and C++.
- Use Windows system programming interfaces including Win32 APIs, File I/O, and Winsock.
- Investigate Windows platform behavior and user-mode and kernel-mode interactions.
- Develop multithreaded, multiprocess, and system-level software.
- Debug complex implementation issues, conduct code reviews, and optimize performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams on security requirements and technical design.
- Contribute to cross-platform security capabilities spanning Windows and Linux.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of software development experience, or a master's degree with 4+ years of software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with operating-system fundamentals including threads, processes, file systems, networking, and inter-process communication.
- Experience with systems programming in C or C++, including multithreaded and multiprocess application development.
- Experience with Windows system programming, Win32 APIs, File I/O, Winsock, and API hooking concepts.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex software systems.
- Preferred: understanding of Windows kernel concepts and user-mode/kernel-mode interactions.
- Preferred: endpoint security, cybersecurity, system-monitoring, malware detection, endpoint protection, or security-monitoring experience.
- Preferred: Windows kernel programming, driver development, network programming, security-related protocols, systems-level production software, and performance optimization experience.
