Base Salary
$205k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own tax-related changes in the billing codebase and integration with the tax engine.
- Lead the implementation of the AP tax engine across ERP-connected purchasing flows.
- Build and iterate tax-specific products and internal tooling across the full tax stack.
- Manage production connection points between the tax stack and data infrastructure.
- Develop SOX-aware tooling for tax data flows and evidence pipelines.
- Design tools that leverage AI for tax work and provide self-serve access for non-technical users.
- Serve as the technical owner for vendor implementation handoffs.
- Collaborate with various teams to optimize and ensure compliance of the tax stack.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with production integrations against billing platforms or ERPs.
- Fluency in tax systems in at least one domain such as indirect tax or corporate tax.
- Proficiency in writing production-grade Python with testing and code-review discipline.
- SQL proficiency for building reconciliations and validating data.
- Experience with SOX-aware data flows and documented pipelines.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working directly with vendors, auditors, and engineers.
