Responsibilities

  • Drive architecture and technical direction across multiple services and teams.
  • Lead complex cross-cutting initiatives involving migrations, modernization, and platform or system evolution.
  • Own reliability and performance at scale and make high-leverage engineering tradeoffs.
  • Raise engineering standards through design documents, standards, and reviews.
  • Mentor senior engineers and influence technical strategy beyond a single team.
  • Partner with engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on technical roadmaps.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of software engineering experience with a record of technical leadership.
  • Experience driving architecture and technical direction across multiple services or teams.
  • Demonstrated cross-team influence in platform or system evolution and engineering standards.
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architecture with strong engineering judgment.
  • Experience leading migrations or modernization initiatives and owning reliability and performance at scale.
  • History of mentoring senior engineers and producing design documents and standards adopted by others.
  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering field is preferred but not required.
  • AI platform architecture experience is preferred.
  • Agentic systems or LLM infrastructure experience is preferred.
