Base Salary
$140k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver reliable infrastructure and software aligned with strategic business timelines.
- Champion adoption of technologies, methodologies, and practices that improve efficiency across the AI organization.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers on machine learning and software engineering best practices.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and company leadership to support collaborative strategy and communication.
- Build and extend foundational infrastructure for Xometry’s AI/ML solutions, data products, and marketplace platform.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, cloud solutions architect, or in a similar technical problem-solving role.
- Bachelor’s degree required; an M.S. or PhD in computer science, machine learning, AI, or a related field is preferred and may substitute for some years of experience.
- Understanding of software engineering principles including parallel and distributed computing, version control, reproducibility, and continuous integration.
- Experience designing and deploying AWS-preferred cloud infrastructure for data-intensive AI/ML applications with attention to scale, reliability, and security.
- Expertise or ability to quickly develop expertise in Terraform, REST API design and implementation, Python, and multimodal data processing.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Service Catalog, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, ECR, EKS, and Kinesis.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executives, product managers, stakeholders, and technical contributors.
- Manufacturing, supply chain, or similar industry experience is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder for ITAR compliance.
