Base Salary

$164k - $212k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a microkernel-based operating system and hypervisor for on-vehicle autonomous-driving applications.
  • Optimize operating-system functionality for real-time performance, efficiency, security, and functional safety.
  • Improve hypervisor performance, including latency, throughput, vIRQ handling, cache and memory efficiency, scheduling, partition isolation, and secure domain management.
  • Contribute to architecture design, kernel integration, driver development, validation, and production deployment.
  • Support mission-critical AD/ADAS compute, sensor fusion, secure boot, trusted execution, and in-vehicle intelligent assistants.
  • Collaborate with engineering, AI, and cloud teams to refine designs and implementations.
  • Demonstrate technical work and mentor or learn from team members to support knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in embedded systems or low-level system software development.
  • Strong coding skills in C, ARM assembly, and inline assembly.
  • Deep understanding of Arm V8 architecture, including GIC, SMMU, cache hierarchy, and Arm Virtualization Host Extensions (VHE).
  • Proficiency in Git, C/C++, Python, and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with Linux kernel development or driver subsystems.
  • Knowledge of embedded-system security, including Arm TrustZone, OP-TEE, and Secure Boot.
  • Ability to contribute effectively within a global, cross-functional engineering team.
