Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, development, integration, maintenance, validation, and deployment of UEFI/BIOS firmware for AI server and accelerator platforms.
  • Define firmware architecture and technical roadmaps for CPU, GPU, memory, and I/O technologies.
  • Lead platform bring-up from pre-silicon simulation through post-silicon validation and production readiness.
  • Drive silicon enablement with CPU, GPU, and platform architecture teams.
  • Own implementation and validation of ACPI, SMBIOS, PCIe Gen5/Gen6, CXL, NUMA, memory, power management, security, and platform management technologies.
  • Architect RAS capabilities including telemetry, diagnostics, error handling, predictive failure analysis, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Partner with OpenBMC, Redfish, and platform management teams on complete manageability solutions.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of system-level issues across firmware, hardware, operating systems, and AI workloads.
  • Support platform integration, qualification, and deployment with hyperscale customers, OEMs, ODMs, and ecosystem partners.
  • Conduct architecture, code, and technical design reviews; establish engineering best practices; and mentor BIOS engineers and junior firmware developers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in BIOS, firmware, or low-level system software development.
  • Technical leadership or lead engineering experience and success leading complex firmware programs from architecture through production deployment.
  • Strong experience with UEFI/EDK II, AMI Aptio BIOS, AGESA, silicon initialization frameworks, platform firmware architecture, and secure firmware design.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, firmware debugging, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of x86 server architecture, PCIe Gen5/Gen6, CXL, DDR5/HBM memory technologies, ACPI, SMBIOS, UEFI Secure Boot, and platform security technologies.
  • Experience with AI server and accelerator platforms, board bring-up, JTAG debugging, hardware telemetry, diagnostics, crash analysis, and RAS features.
  • Experience with Root of Trust, measured boot, secure update mechanisms, and platform security architecture.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Preferred experience includes large-scale AI clusters, GPU-based server infrastructure, firmware CI/CD, automated validation frameworks, server manufacturing and deployment workflows, and open-source firmware projects such as EDK II, OpenBMC, or Linux firmware subsystems.
