Responsibilities

  • Participate in project teams and rotational assignments across software engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand requirements and design technical solutions.
  • Analyze, design, code, test, and implement less complex application enhancements.
  • Provide general production support while meeting scope, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle and create engineering specifications.
  • Write maintainable code, perform code reviews, and create stories and development tasks.
  • Research best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to inform design and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, completed within the last year from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA from the most recently completed degree program.
  • At least one quality internship in a relevant role.
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language, with Java, C++, or Perl preferred.
  • Conceptual understanding of web service technologies and APIs, including RESTful, JSON-RPC, XML-RPC, and SOAP.
  • Experience with at least two of NodeJS, Oracle Database, NoSQL databases, SQL, Linux, and JCL.
  • Ability to translate technical designs, mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications.
  • Experience with testing frameworks.
  • Preferred experience includes Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, JavaScript, Go, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Spring technologies, and software debugging.
  • Active participation in a club, volunteer effort, or other activity outside the classroom is required.
