Responsibilities
- Formulate real-world business problems into practical, efficient, and scalable AI and machine learning solutions.
- Develop machine learning algorithms, models, and computational systems for production use.
- Build scalable data pipelines supporting model training and production with DevOps and MLOps practices.
- Customize and apply deep learning and generative AI models, including for edge-device and high-performance-computing use cases.
- Research and develop AI, high-performance-computing, simulation, and computational algorithms for complex client problems.
- Process large-scale datasets and implement data storage and retrieval mechanisms for models and knowledge.
- Deploy, monitor, alert on, audit, and maintain machine learning systems at scale.
- Collaborate with business users, engineers, architects, UI designers, and client teams to integrate solutions into production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Significant experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- Considerable experience with computer science foundations, computer architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- Experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, and distributed networks.
- Some experience building and deploying AI/ML software to a cloud environment.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, with familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience working with language-model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, client-facing consulting ability, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- A master's degree or PhD in a related field is preferred.
