Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure end-to-end architectures for Oracle Database on OCI and PostgreSQL, including encryption, key management, and hardening.
- Define and enforce Zero Trust network security controls for cloud database environments, including private endpoints, segmentation, and certificates.
- Lead threat-modeling activities and translate identified risks into engineering controls.
- Own Microsoft Entra ID identity and access integration, including OAuth/OIDC, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.
- Establish vulnerability management and apply DevSecOps practices across the database platform.
- Serve as the primary contact for security audits and convert findings into remediation actions and improvements.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional security squad, managing priorities, incidents, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience securing Oracle Database, including Advanced Security, and PostgreSQL in cloud environments.
- Solid expertise in OCI security, networking, and cloud database infrastructure.
- Proven experience with network security, certificate lifecycle management, and secrets management.
- Deep practical knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and identity-based database access.
- Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CIS Benchmarks, or DORA security and compliance frameworks.
- Previous experience leading or tech-leading teams in agile or DevOps environments.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex security topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
