Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable, real-time software for Starlink gateways, satellites, user terminals, and switches.
- Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Develop prototypes and manage experiments to validate key design concepts.
- Build tools for software development and deployment, data analysis and visualization, and test execution across virtualized hardware, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-orbit environments.
- Deploy reliable software, test execution, and data analysis through continuous integration and release systems.
- Own the complete software lifecycle, including development, testing, and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree; internship experience is applicable.
- Development experience in C, C++, or assembly.
- Strong production experience writing C, C++, or assembly and experience deploying software used in real-world applications are preferred.
- Preferred experience includes real-time rendering, game engines, physics simulation, resource-constrained high-performance computing, networking protocols, distributed systems, and security issues associated with distributed systems and internet services.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Applicants must meet applicable ITAR citizenship, residency, refugee, asylee, or authorization requirements.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $125,000-$175,000 per year depending on level.

- Company shuttles are offered Monday through Friday from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office.
- The role may require extended hours and weekends as needed and is subject to ITAR work-authorization requirements.
