Base Salary
$102k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build secure, scalable services for security data platforms, pipelines, graph workloads, and agent-runtime capabilities.
- Develop and operate batch or streaming ingestion, processing, and distributed-service components with attention to quality, observability, recovery, performance, reliability, security, and cost.
- Write maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant production code and use telemetry, metrics, debugging, and customer feedback to improve services.
- Lead architecture and delivery of significant components for the Senior Software Engineer track, including design discussions, test strategies, and production operation.
- Own live-site health and incident response, resolve cross-team dependencies, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, engineering, customers, and security research.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline plus 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of technical engineering experience, master's degree plus 3+ years, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 4+ years of programming experience in Java, C++, C, or another object-oriented language, with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience building and shipping production software or services, including online services or fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience writing secure, maintainable, well-tested, and performant code and using debugging tools, code reviews, and modern development practices.
- Preferred: experience translating customer needs into technical solutions, collaborating across teams, improving service quality through testing and deployment automation, taking a new product from development to launch, leading design discussions, defining test strategies, and driving improvements across components or projects.
