Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain firmware for enterprise hard disk drives.
- Implement data structures, software algorithms, data paths, and drivers for hardware cores using C++ and Python.
- Participate in technical investigations from problem statement through conclusions.
- Create design documents for firmware development phases.
- Develop strategies for functionality and compatibility testing of complex drive features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer/electronics engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of C, object-oriented programming such as C++ and Python, data structures, algorithms, and multithreaded programming.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies, complex code, firmware, hardware, systems, and tools.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred knowledge of ARM or ARC microcontroller architecture, embedded firmware development, RTOS, data analytics, data visualization, and machine learning.
