Base Salary
$180k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive architectural decisions across the [R]AIMS platform.
- Lead major technical epics from conception through delivery.
- Simplify and rationalize distributed system architecture.
- Optimize platform performance across edge and cloud deployments.
- Establish strong engineering foundations and reusable technical patterns.
- Mentor engineers and conduct design reviews.
- Partner with AI/ML engineers on model integration and deployment.
- Engage with customers and program stakeholders in operational environments.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience building production software systems.
- Deep software engineering fundamentals with experience in complex systems.
- Exceptional technical communication skills.
- Proven experience designing and evolving distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture.
- Experience with data-intensive or AI-enabled production systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership over large engineering initiatives.
- Strong system design and architecture decision-making ability.
- Some experience with machine learning models in production.
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
