Responsibilities
- Develop and support highly available, scalable, and secure platform infrastructure.
- Create and maintain automation pipelines for continuous delivery and infrastructure provisioning.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested Python code for automation and service development.
- Manage and optimize relational or in-memory databases for high performance and reliability.
- Administer and finetune container orchestration platforms like EKS and ECS.
- Implement and manage serverless architectures using AWS Lambda.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure infrastructure meets application requirements.
- Enforce security best practices and compliance standards across the platform.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations for operational support.
- Adopt Agile methodologies and participate in sprint activities.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
- Develop internal tooling and automation scripts to support workflows.
- Implement observability best practices for SaaS services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Strong expertise in AWS infrastructure and services.
- Excellent proficiency with Terraform, Python, SQL, and automation tooling.
- Extensive experience with Docker and container orchestration.
- Solid understanding of SQL and database administration, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD systems like GoCD and GitHub Actions.
- Proven experience in automating observability and monitoring.
- Hands-on experience in environments compliant with FISMA, SOC 2, and/or FedRAMP.
- Background in building highly scalable SaaS platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience in production on-call rotations.
