Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of backend architecture for the AI automation platform.
- Build scalable services, APIs, orchestration systems, and workflow engines.
- Design platform primitives for permissions, state, auditability, and reliability.
- Partner with AI/ML engineers to productionize agent capabilities.
- Own major backend workstreams from design through implementation and iteration.
- Improve engineering practices around testing, monitoring, and incident response.
- Mentor engineers and establish technical standards for the team.
- Make pragmatic architecture decisions balancing speed and reliability.
Requirements
- Significant backend engineering experience with a record of shipping production systems.
- Deep Python experience and strong software architecture fundamentals.
- Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise SaaS infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of databases, asynchronous processing, and system reliability.
- Ability to own ambiguous technical problems and drive them to high-quality outcomes.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams.
- A high bar for engineering quality and a bias toward building robust systems.
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
