Responsibilities
- Build new features and improve developer experience for the L- and G-series hospitality products.
- Modernize the backend technology stack and contribute to reliable, scalable product development.
- Design and evolve backward-compatible REST APIs and maintain infrastructure health.
- Collaborate with Development, Product Management, Support, and Platform teams.
- Participate in daily agile ceremonies, design discussions, and solution development.
- Advocate for code quality, automated testing, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 6+ years of production Java experience, including work with large, long-lived codebases.
- 4+ years of deep Spring Framework experience, including IoC, MVC, Security, and transactions.
- 4+ years of advanced SQL experience involving complex queries, indexing, multi-tenant data models, and schema migrations.
- Strong object-oriented programming, domain modeling, and design-pattern experience.
- Experience designing and evolving backward-compatible REST APIs.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Clear English communication skills for design reviews, trade-off discussions, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience with Agile development, payments or compliance domains, hybrid cloud and on-premise systems, GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Maven multi-module codebases, Jetty/WAR deployments, Redis, WebSockets, or scheduled jobs.
