Responsibilities
- Write high-quality Java and back-end code with unit, functional, and end-to-end tests.
- Design, build, and deploy applications and APIs for data processing and management.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines.
- Participate in peer reviews and improve code quality, testability, performance, and security.
- Detect, debug, track, and resolve issues to improve system resiliency.
- Prepare production-ready data for AI applications.
- Contribute to documentation and educational content for team knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with data engineering and software development technologies.
Requirements
- Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least two years of hands-on Java experience; relevant project or internship experience may be considered for candidates without prior working experience.
- Back-end development experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MSSQL and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- For senior positions, at least three years of software development experience, technical mentorship experience, cross-team collaboration experience, and the ability to lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
