Software Engineer in Machine Learning Infra - Recommendation Architecture (ByteDance Singapore)
ByteDanceResponsibilities
- Optimize machine learning model serving and training infrastructure.
- Build and maintain high-performance online services for TikTok’s recommendation system.
- Build a globalized, large-scale recommendation system.
- Improve system stability, availability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency across online services and offline data flows.
- Design and develop computer and network software and specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles.
- Update and enhance software capabilities and direct software testing and validation procedures.
- Collaborate with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and define specifications and performance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience building scalable systems.
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as C, C++, or Go in a Linux environment.
- Understanding of GPU hardware architecture and GPU software stacks including CUDA and cuDNN, with experience in GPU performance analysis.
- Experience with deep model inference and training, debugging, and tuning.
- Familiarity with model optimization tools such as TVM, MLIR, and XLA.
- Familiarity with mainstream machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MXNet.
