Responsibilities
- Partner with system architects, product managers, and developers to analyze specifications and identify edge cases before implementation.
- Design, write, and scale reusable automated test frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Translate requirements into manual and automated happy-path and edge-case test scenarios while maintaining traceability.
- Isolate, diagnose, and troubleshoot firmware and software defects by analyzing log files and system behavior.
- Document test results in automated data-driven dashboards and recommend process and tooling improvements.
- Validate features independently, manage multiple priorities, and mentor junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar object-oriented scripting languages, including automated test code and debugging or performance optimization tools.
- Hands-on familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, hardware-software integration, system-level programming, and software design patterns.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and GitHub and with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including GenAI in the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, independent-work, ownership, and prioritization skills; experience mentoring junior team members is required.
